About

Thornton Cleveleys Horticultural Society was formed on 5th February 1941 as part of the ‘Dig for Victory’ campaign. It started life as the Thornton Cleveleys Allotment Holders & Gardeners Association, changing its name in 1948 to Thornton Cleveleys Horticultural Society.

The Society has been arranging shows since the very beginning with a produce display arranged in the first year. The first record of a trophy being presented was in 1943 and today we present 40+ trophies each year for a variety of skills and achievements.
